You don't have to keep carrying your trauma

Maybe it's a memory that still tightens your chest when it surfaces. Maybe it's a low hum of anxiety that follows you into most rooms, or a sense that you're moving through life from behind glass, functioning, but not quite present. Sometimes there's a clear event behind it. Sometimes there isn't, and that can feel even more confusing.

Wherever you're starting from, what you're feeling makes sense. The mind and body hold on to painful experiences as a way of protecting you and with the right support, you can also learn to set that weight down. That's the work we do together: gently, at your pace, and without judgment.

I'm a licensed therapist who believes healing happens when we treat the whole person (mind and body), and when you feel genuinely safe enough to do the work. My style is warm, collaborative, and unhurried. You won't find judgment here, and you won't be handed a one-size-fits-all plan. Just steady support, and a pace that's yours.

EMDR and the approaches I draw on

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps the brain process and heal from distressing experiences that may be contributing to anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, and emotional distress. It works with both the thoughts and the body sensations tied to difficult experiences, drawing on several evidence-based approaches including cognitive strategies from CBT, mindfulness, attachment theory, somatic awareness, and parts work. The process typically moves through understanding your history, identifying goals, building emotional regulation skills, reprocessing unresolved experiences, and integrating positive change into daily life. EMDR is extensively researched, used around the world, and recognized as an effective treatment for trauma and many other concerns.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy teaches practical skills for managing emotions, easing stress, and strengthening relationships. It centers on four areas: mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. All of these help you build resilience and lasting change.

DBT

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps you identify and shift unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior. It pairs techniques that challenge difficult thoughts with strategies for healthier habits and is one of the most widely studied treatments for anxiety, depression, and stress.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is the practice of meeting the present moment with curiosity and without judgment, through breathing, grounding, and gentle awareness of thoughts and sensations. Woven into EMDR, DBT, and CBT, it can ease stress and support emotional well-being.

EMDR Intensives

For some people, the traditional weekly rhythm isn't the right fit whether because of time, momentum, or a wish to focus deeply on one area. EMDR Intensives offer focused sessions designed to help you make meaningful progress in a shorter period of time. Sessions are customized to your goals and needs. Intensives are grounded in the same research-supported methods that make EMDR effective, and they can also complement the work you're already doing with another therapist.

Reaching out for support takes courage, and wherever you are in that process, you're welcome here. I offer therapy via telehealth to clients across New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, making it possible to do this work from a space where you already feel safe. If any of this resonates, I'd be glad to talk. There's no pressure, only a conversation about what might help you feel more like yourself.
